Ngwenya Art Gallery is situated in the Ngwenya Village, which is part of the Crocodile Ramble just off Beyers Naude Drive, featuring talented and dedicated local artist bringing you fine art in all categories.

 

The Ngwenya Art Gallery is hosting a Carols by Candlelight at the Ngwenya Village on the 3rd of December 2011.  It will start at 3pm, and end at 8. Entrance is free and music will be provided and a sheet of words to the carols supplied.  Jock's Studio will provide candles and children's party packs will also be on sale.  There will be a raffle for a gingerbread house cake, and we will provide mince pies, tea and coffee. 

All the shop owners at the Ngwenya Village will have their Christmas wares on sale during the event. Pop by and see our wonderfully decorated Christmas tree and be sure to bring the whole family as we will have games for the children to keep them occupied during the afternoon, like an egg and spoon races and one legged races.  There will also be a variety of Christmas goods on sale on the day such as spice biscuits, etc will also be for sale.

The Ngwenya Art Gallery held a art exhibition on 27 and 28 August with several guest artists exhibiting their work.

Customers could browse and purchase their favourite art works while being serenaded by a talented pianist and singer.

The day was very successful and each artist exhibiting sold at least one painting for the day.

The ladies at the Ngwenya Art Gallery have invited guest artists and crafters to exhibit their paintings and hand work, and share in their joy of art on the week-end of the 27th and 28th August 2011.  There will be entertainment as well as delicious refreshments served, free of charge, so please join us for a fantastic exhibition of art and crafts on the last week-end in August.
